Kelly is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology. She started Natural Psychology with a vision of taking an integrative approach to treatment, healing from the inside out. This includes:

Kelly supports adults living with the effects of trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, depression and relationship difficulties. Her work is grounded in a body-oriented, relational approach that integrates psychological care with spiritual awareness, helping clients build safety, regulation, and a deeper connection with themselves. She offers therapy that is collaborative and paced with care, integrating psychological insight with attention to the nervous system and overall functioning.

Michaela is passionate about working with children, youth and their families. She values the uniqueness of each family and their dynamics. Her areas of experience include anxiety, depression, attachment/development concerns, attachment disruptions, parenting concerns, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism, and grief. She has specialized training in areas such as dialectic behavioural therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, Animal-Assisted Therapy and Lego Therapy.
Michaela aims to run sessions with a client-centered approach that focuses on relationship building. She strives to make a comfortable environment where safety is a main priority. She is passionate about helping others and utilizing the therapeutic aspects of animals in her services.
She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Children and Youth Care Counseling from the University of Victoria in British Columbia. Michaela received a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University while working full-time at a government funded organization in Northern Ontario.

Therapy is appropriate for anyone who is looking to gain perspective of their emotions or support to improve relationships.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place in person at our practice or virtually. You can expect sessions to be client - centered and relationship focused providing a safe and compassionate space.
